Q. What does a typical kindergarten day look like?
A. Monessen Elementary Center offers full day kindergarten that follows our regular school day. The district provides transportation to and from school. Kindergarten students participate in a rigorous curriculum that includes reading, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, physical education, and library skills. All subjects are taught in the classroom by their teacher throughout the day.
Q. What do I need in order to register for Kindergarten?
A. You will also need to fill out all paperwork at registration. You will need to provide copies of the following:
Proof of Age
- Child's Birth Certificate
Two Proofs of Residency
- Driver's License
- Utility Bill
- Cable Bill
- Guardianship Form
- Court Order
- Lease Agreement
Proof of Immunizations
- Copy of Shot Records from Doctor (should be up to date before the start of school)
**The following Medical Forms should be printed and filled out by your private child physician and child dentist before the 1st day of school for the 2024-2025 school year
